Blogspot user interface is not very intuitive or clear. There are a number of situations where what should be the obvious thing to do, is not the right thing to do.
Here I have some answers which I post recently on Blogger user help forum. I have answers for only the more basic, first time user problems. Please post questions on more complex problems on the forum and wait for answers from our Blog*stars.

Have you tried to invite them to open a Google account?
